Cape Point is a small and relatively new wine region located south of Cape Town on a peninsula where is the meeting points between the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. The region is well known for its white wines from Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon and Chardonnay and from the red varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Pinot Noir. The region's climate is distinctively maritime with cool breezes of the Atlantic complemented by the warmer breezes from False Bay on the eastern side. Because of that, all vineyards are south oriented to gain every relight of the sun. All the characteristics of the climate are resulting in extremely fresh, light and pleasant white and red wines for which the region is famed for.
